Salesforce Program Manager
Location: Portsmouth, NH / Hybrid (3 days/week onsite REQUIRED)
Duration: 12 months with possible extension
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Salesforce Program Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of our client’s Salesforce initiatives. As the first hire in this capacity, you will be foundational in establishing the program framework, driving cross-functional coordination, and ensuring successful outcomes. This contract role supports one of our valued clients—an organization embarking on a significant Salesforce transformation.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong track record of Salesforce program delivery, exceptional communication skills, and a hands-on approach to managing people, process, and technology alignment.
Program Planning & Execution
- Define and manage the overall Salesforce program roadmap, timelines, and budgets
- Track milestones and deliverables across multiple project streams
- Ensure alignment between technical execution and strategic business goals
- Serve as the primary liaison between business leaders and technical teams
- Facilitate ongoing stakeholder engagement and ensure clear, consistent communication
- Translate business objectives into actionable project plans
- Proactively identify program risks and issues; develop mitigation strategies
- Lead resolution of escalations and ensure transparency with stakeholders
- Ensure effective collaboration across Salesforce developers, admins, solution architects, and business analysts
- Monitor resource allocation and remove blockers to team productivity
- Oversee training, internal communications, and adoption strategies
- Support organizational readiness and ensure a smooth rollout of new functionality
- Establish program governance frameworks aligned with client policies and regulatory standards
- Ensure all deliverables follow best practices in security, compliance, and data integrity
Required:
- 5+ years of experience managing Salesforce programs or implementations
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Deep understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, custom apps)
- Strong project management skills (Agile)
- EXCEPTIONAL communication, stakeholder engagement, and executive reporting skills
- Salesforce certifications
- Experience standing up a Salesforce program from the ground up
