Temp to Hire Financial Services Clerk
Job Summary:
The Finance Clerk I will provide clerical financial and administrative support with a primary focus on physician billing. This role will assist in processing financial transactions, data entry and clerical tasks. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, knowledge of basic computer systems, and the ability to work effectively with a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Processing & Reconciliation:
- Data entry of physician billing accounts and financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of billing summaries.
- Maintain financial records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
Physician Billing Support:
- Assist in processing physician claims to insurance providers.
- Verify patient and insurance information for accuracy.
- Support claims analysts by performing clerical tasks (faxing, scanning, data entry)
General Administrative Duties:
- Maintain financial and billing databases with up-to-date information.
- Assist with audits and compliance checks related to finance and billing.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in finance, accounting, or medical billing is an asset. Strong clerical or administrative skills required.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
