Customer Service Specialist
Location: Bedford, NH (Hybrid)
Our client, an growing P&C insurance company is seeking a Customer Support Specialist to join their team in Bedford, NH. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. While prior experience in a property and casualty agency is preferred, it is not required. They are open to entry-level candidates who are eager to learn and grow within the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Support & Communication:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for policyholders and agents, providing prompt and professional assistance via phone and email.
- Address inquiries related to billing, policy coverages, endorsements, renewals, and claims processes for auto and home insurance policies.
- Educate customers on policy terms, payment options, and coverage details to ensure clarity and satisfaction.
- Handle customer concerns with empathy and professionalism, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Policy Administration & Processing:
- Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, and renewals with accuracy and efficiency.
- Review and verify policy documentation to ensure compliance with company guidelines and industry regulations.
- Assist agents with quoting and underwriting inquiries when needed.
Risk Management & Problem-Solving:
- Identify potential risks or discrepancies in policy information and take appropriate action.
- Follow company procedures to assess and mitigate risks while maintaining a balance between customer needs and business objectives.
- Collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in customer service (insurance or financial services preferred).
- Property and casualty agency experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex policy information for customers.
- Proficiency in insurance management systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setting (reporting to the Bedford office twice per week).
- Insurance licensing (PL or P&C) is a plus but not required.
