Events & Fundraising Coordinator
Location: Falmouth, ME
Salary: $45,000-50,000 annually

ProSearch is proud to partner with Maine Cancer Foundation (MCF) in their search for an Events & Fundraising Coordinator. A role that directly supports the mission to reduce the burden of cancer in Maine.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate team and make a difference in some of their most impactful fundraising events, including Tri for a Cure, Mary’s Walk, and the Sugarloaf Charity Summit. Maine Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting cancer in Maine. They are behind some of the state’s most well-known fundraising events. Their environment is rewarding and provides you with the opportunity to grow professionally and personally.
Responsibilities:
Support and Coordinate MCF Events
  • Assist in planning and executing events like Tri for a Cure, Sugarloaf Charity Summit, and Mary’s Walk with a primary focus on Tri for a Cure.
  • Coordinate meetings and communications with volunteers, venue personnel, sponsors, and the events team.
  • Serve as the go-to contact for event participants and donors, providing outstanding customer service.
  • Organize reports and materials for meetings, fundraising clinics, and social events.
  • Manage MCF’s online fundraising platforms and event apps, ensuring smooth functionality.
Manage Fundraising Operations
  • Be the first point of contact for donors, participants, and community partners, ensuring a positive experience for all.
  • Assist with database management to support mailings, donor outreach, and fundraising campaigns.
  • Process donor acknowledgments and stewardship efforts to foster long-term donor relationships.
  • Stay informed on fundraising trends and best practices to help enhance MCF’s engagement strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A creative, organized self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience coordinating fundraising events or working with a team to implement large-scale initiatives.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with database management systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge/NXT, Salesforce) and peer-to-peer fundraising platforms (e.g., DonorDrive, Fundraise UP) is a plus.
  • Strong social media skills and experience managing Facebook, Instagram, Twitter for event promotion.
  • A team player who is comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when needed.
Salary and Benefits:
  • Full-time, benefits-eligible position based in Maine.
