We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead, grow, and mentor a high-performing sales team of 6-7 representatives. Reporting directly to the company owners, this role is pivotal in driving revenue, expanding market share, and ensuring team excellence. The Sales Manager will be hands-on, engaging in business development, scheduling sales activities, mentoring junior sales reps, and closing deals. This individual will also play a key role in fostering long-term client relationships by guiding the sales team in account management activities.


Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Mentorship:
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 6-7 sales representatives.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, one-on-one coaching sessions, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop training programs and strategies to enhance team skills in sales techniques, product knowledge, and client relationship management.
Sales and Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s footprint in York County, Greater Portland, Lewiston/Auburn, and Augusta.
  • Work alongside the sales team to schedule and attend on-site meetings with prospects and clients.
  • Join junior reps in client meetings to provide guidance and ensure the successful progression of deals.
  • Personally handle final-stage meetings to close deals and secure agreements.
Strategic Planning and Scheduling:
  • Oversee the scheduling and coordination of sales activities and client appointments for the team.
  • Develop sales strategies to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Client Relationship Management:
  • Support the team in providing exceptional account management, including advising clients on new products and services.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for client issues and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to drive retention and loyalty.
Collaboration and Reporting:
  • Work closely with the servicing team to ensure seamless client onboarding and satisfaction.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on team performance, market trends, and business development activities to the company owners.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Proven experience in a sales leadership role, managing and mentoring a sales team.
  • Strong background in business development and client relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales tracking systems.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Preferred:
  • Business to business experience
  • Experience in office supply, printer services.
  • Familiarity with the York County, Greater Portland, Lewiston/Auburn, and Augusta markets.

Compensation will include base salary, commission and benefits.
