Help Desk Analyst
Location: Remote

Overview:
Our client, is seeking a Help Desk Analyst to provide Tier 1 support for enterprise applications and IT infrastructure. This role is critical for handling the influx of support requests. Analysts will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and proactive maintenance for assigned colleges.

This is a remote position requiring your own Windows 10 or 11 computer and smartphone. Candidates will use Microsoft Teams to answer calls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 1 technical support for students and faculty, addressing issues related to enterprise applications and campus infrastructure.
  • Handle email migration tasks and troubleshooting for users.
  • Support and maintain various Windows products (desktop and laptop computers).
  • Assist with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of specific software and services.
  • Research, recommend, and maintain desktop documentation for lab configurations.
  • Communicate effectively via phone, chat, and email, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Perform proactive maintenance and research on assigned technology to prevent future issues.
  • Collaborate with the Help desk Manager, IT staff, and faculty to improve service quality and make recommendations for policy development.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience in help desk support with a focus on Windows products and email migration.
  • Ability to perform installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and repair of desktops and laptops.
  • Knowledge of complex design, image creation, and management of computers in a shared service environment.
  • Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of current computer technologies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in providing support for research, development, and maintenance of desktop documentation.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with faculty and IT staff to meet technical needs.

Technical Requirements:

  • Must provide speed test results showing a minimum of 100 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speed.
  • Own Windows 10 or 11 computer and smartphone.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Teams on a PC for answering phone calls and participating in video meetings.
