Systems Administrator
Location: 100% Remote
Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly capable Systems Administrator with excellent customer service skills to join their team. This is a fully remote role where the successful candidate will handle system administration tasks, troubleshoot technical issues, and work closely with both technical and non-technical users. Effective communication, especially within the Microsoft Teams environment, is key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver top-notch customer service and respond to service requests efficiently.
- Manage Active Directory tasks such as creating users, groups, organizational units, and computer objects.
- Use ServiceNow to document work performed, ensuring all tasks are accurately logged.
- Prioritize and manage tasks in line with SLA agreements.
- Participate in Teams video conferences, providing updates and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Follow established procedures and documentation for fulfilling system administration requests.
- Translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand language for end users.
Required Skills:
- Strong customer service skills, with a proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Comfortable working in a Microsoft Teams environment and participating in video conferences.
- General understanding of Active Directory (users, groups, and organizational units).
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) with accountability and reliability.
- Experience documenting tasks and outcomes in a ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Ability to explain technical issues in layman's terms when needed.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Professional certifications in hardware or operating systems.
- Experience troubleshooting Telecom call center issues.
- Familiarity with Network and VPN troubleshooting.
- Experience with Palo Alto, Juniper, and Extreme switching.
- Experience using PowerShell scripting for automation and task execution.
