Security Coordinator
Our client is seeking a Cybersecurity Coordinator to lead the coordination and outreach efforts aimed at improving cybersecurity awareness and readiness across affiliated organizations. This role is pivotal in providing critical resources and knowledge to entities that may not have the capacity to implement effective cybersecurity measures on their own. The successful candidate will ensure a cohesive approach to cybersecurity best practices, supporting multiple levels statewide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educational Outreach: Develop and deliver cybersecurity workshops, materials, and outreach programs tailored to various levels of expertise and readiness among local organizations.
- Statewide Coordination: Ensure collaboration among stakeholders to align cybersecurity efforts and meet common goals.
- Best Practices Advocacy: Promote and advocate for cybersecurity best practices through the adoption of resources.
- Resource Gap Analysis: Identify and address cybersecurity resource gaps, proposing strategic improvements.
- Collaborative Leadership: Work with federal partners, state agencies, local governments, industry groups, and community organizations to create and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity outreach strategy.
- Experience: 3-5 years in strategic planning, project management, or large-scale coordination roles, preferably in cybersecurity or public sector initiatives.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications: Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
- Grant Management: Experience with federal programs or grants related to cybersecurity is beneficial.
- Cybersecurity Expertise: Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risks, and best practices to apply across various levels.
- Strategic Planning: Ability to develop comprehensive cybersecurity plans aligned with client goals.
- Project Management: Manage multiple initiatives, ensuring effective use of resources and timely execution.
- Communication: Create and present educational materials clearly, catering to diverse audiences.
- Collaboration: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, driving shared cybersecurity goals.
- Problem-Solving: Analyze risks and propose strategic solutions to enhance cybersecurity capabilities.
- Leadership: Lead initiatives and ensure alignment among various partners and stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Stay ahead of emerging cybersecurity threats and adjust strategies accordingly.
The position is primarily remote, with occasional travel required for meetings and events to coordinate efforts and engage with stakeholders.
