IT Specialist

We are seeking an IT Specialist to join our client's IT team and assist in the administration and maintenance of their organization's systems and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, strong problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn and grow in an incredible environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and availability of our systems.
- Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems, software applications, and system utilities.
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and documentation of IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Collaborate with senior administrators and other IT staff to ensure project success.
- Provide technical support to end-users by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, answering inquiries, and resolving problems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Set up and configure user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Configuration, installation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues as needed.
- Admin of servers, including setup, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, applications, and services.
- Perform routine server tasks such as backups, updates, and security patching.
- Implement and maintain security measures, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and access controls.
- Monitor for security breaches and respond to incidents in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and support activities as required.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Share knowledge and best practices with team members.
- Provide training and support to end-users as needed.
- Previous experience in a technical support or system administration role is required.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and network fundamentals.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
